Madrid has plenty to offer its visitors, places of great architectural and artistic interest, many palaces which originally belonged (or still belong) to important families and kings, convents, and churches. Great museums such as the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, or the Reina Sofía Art Centre.
Beautiful parks declared as Artistic Heritage such as the Buen Retiro Park, beside the Paseo del Prado, the Capricho Park, in the North of the city, or the Campo del Moro, surrounding the Royal Palace.
And, in addition, the great squares and monuments that are so emblematic of Madrid such as the Puerta de Alcalá, the Fuente de la Cibeles or the Puerta del Sol.
